Low cost spay/ neuter and vaccination services are available for low income residents of Kitsap and north Mason counties. These services are possible with the very generous assistance of Bremerton Animal Hospital, Compassionate Critter Care and Ridgetop Animal Hospital.
Applications can be printed from here. Please complete the top section of the form then sign and date it. Applications can be returned in person or via US mail or email. Please be aware that forms sent back to us by mail or computer will have a longer turnaround time than those presented to us in person. We do not need to see the pet at this time. Once the application has been processed you will be able, in most cases to set your own appointment date directly with the vet.
Actual costs for services will vary based on the veterinary office being used, weight of the pet and vaccine status. Once we have your application we will contact you to discuss costs and options or you can call (360) 373-7043 for a quote or stop in to see us. If you complete the application there is no obligation to use our services.
Vaccinations may be a requirement depending on the veterinary service used. Vaccines are always recommended as feline distemper (aka: panleukopenia) and canine parvovirus are very prevalent in our area and can be fatal as well as very expensive to treat. If you have given your own vaccines, please beware that the veterinarians reserve the right to not accept them for spay/neuter services. This is due to the concern that vaccines may not have been properly handled during shipment and administration leaving the animal vulnerable to disease.
Female dogs cannot be in heat at the time of surgery. Female cats in heat can be spayed in most cases. If you suspect that your pet may be pregnant, please call and speak with us about the situation. Most vets will not spay pregnant pets without a valid medical reason.
